NETGIRO DELIVERS THE PAYMENT SOLUTION FOR ERICSSONS INTERNET STORE

- A pilot with online-sales of mobile accessories launched

Ericsson has since early September been selling mobile accessories via the Internet in South Africa with assistance from local distributors. To enable this Internet sales pilot, Ericsson has signed, direct merchants bank
, an agreement with Netgiro to provide the online payment solutions into those markets where Ericsson intends to establish sales over the Internet.

The program, which is named “E-Shop”, will be executed on the, direct merchants bank

, as phase one. During 2001 there are plans to start Internet sales in additional markets.
